Refuses to allow me to change due date!!!

I called Household Bank to request a due date change from the 16th to the 20th and they said they don't offer customers that option. I explained that it is a financial hardship because I have to pay my mortgage, car insurance and monthly transportation fee out of my first pay check of the month and I really needed to be able to pay Household from my second check. So I'm pissed and when I pay off the balance I'm closing the account. It shows that they don't care about their customers. If I made the payment on the 20th (four days late) they will rack up late fee charges and interest like never before and ruin my credit. I'm done with them and any other entity that they're apart of.

Household Bank still a scam

I recently was discharged from a Chapter7 bankruptcy. Soon after multiple offers from HBSC came. I applied, wanted to start rebuilding prior 25yrs impeccable credit. Accepted, did phone activation, said was accepted until I tried to use it, was denied. Called CSR and was asked to "verify" information I have NEVER EVER had to from any company...height on drivers license, age range of father, previous addresses, etc. Red flags went up after I had already given bday, SS#, mothers maiden name, security answer, etc. Asked to cancel account then was given offer to remove annual fee if I supplied answers to "information from public records". Damage has probably already been done so now I just have to wait & see what happens from here.

HOUSEHOLD BANK F.S.B provides no way to contact anyone in its autoloan department.

I have repeatedly tried to contact someone with Household Bank, f.s.b., 1111 Town Center Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada regarding the need for a letter verifying I paid off my auto loan. They have given me at least 15 phone numbers and the numbers are either invalid or no one can help me. I have also emailed the company and received emails back with numbers to call and those numbers were answered by people who could not help me. The letter is needed so that I can get a copy of my car title but Househould Bank has not removed the lein on my title. This whole process has been completely frustating and unproductive.

I signed an agreement for "over account limit" with Household Bank MasterCard. The first time I used it/needed it and went less than $10.00 over my limit it was declined.

I called Customer Services and spoke with a representative who could not tell me "why" I was declined. Only that there were many factors as to "why" or "why not" it is approved/declined for over the limit issues. I asked to speak with someone who worked in the dept where that Agreement was handled so that I could get some answers. I was told there was nobody that could explain it to me except customer service (however they couldn't explain).

Okay then I asked to be transferred to the Business Office and I was told there wasn't one. I just wanted to find out about this over limit protection I signed up for so I wouldn't be embarrassed like I was last night. I was told that customer service wS end of the line. I asked who they talked with if their paycheck was short.

I was informed they paycheck was never short but they would speAk with their supervisor. I asked to

speak with that person, which was useless because I got the same answers. It may sound trivial, but I either have ov protection or I don't otherwise I have to go online and fill out complaint form and wait til I receive answer. I've never dealt with a company I.

Corporate America who didn't have a HOME OFFICE! What is this all about?

What do you expect from a narco-trafficking, terrorist sponsoring bank (HSBC) that also kicks poor people off their land in order to cheat on carbon credits. Eh?

You mean to say global capitalists are gangsters? No...

HouseholdBank- Credit Cards

I got a $25 restaurant gift certificate promo from Household Bank last April or May 2011. The promo is for signing for e-statements instead of mailing them. I've been asking them for the certificate and it hasn't arrived. Ive been given the run around (i.e. wait til the end of the June cycle, etc.). Finally, I threatened to cancel my card. They tried to give me this "switch and bait" tactic. They said: "rather than waiting for your $25 certificate, we'll give you a $5.00 credit on your account." I tried to tell them that its the principal, and not just the money. They should have been upfront & just offer the $5. I refused to accept the offer. I also wonder how many of you got this raw deal? Maybe we can send it to the consumer affairs department.

Household Bank Charged me Late Fees for No Reason

Every month I make my payment on time give or take a day or so. I just so happened to look back on my statements wondering why my balance is not going down. They have been charging me late charges for no reason. As of January 2011 I am now one month ahead and I received a late charge in the months of November, December, January, February and March. I have emailed them asking them to reimburse these charges and they refused. I also asked them to please lower my rate because of the hard economic times. They said NO! I am now forced to close this account.

I have never had or will I ever have a Mastercard from any Bank. They are saying I owe $1004.00 when I have never even

:( heard of them.

:( House hold bank are still scam artists. I had automatic ebill and ebill payments set up throught checkfee.

Been that way for years.

All of the sudden they dont send an ebill so therefore the automatic payment didnt happen on time. OF course they jumped right on the late fee, which caused an overlimit fee as well....bastards

If you're being charged late fees, there is a reason. Either payments are being received late, or possibly a bank error.

Call customer service to find out the reason. You'll never know until you ask.

Household Bank

I used to have a Bank Account, with Household Bank. Not; by my choice. My mom, made me, bank; with them. When, I still; lived at home. I told her, I did not want to. But; she made me, bank with them, anyway. Every time; I had, money; in my account, they, over-drafted, my checks. Even, when; the money, was still in the account. Or; was it?? Could my account, have kept over-drafting, because, my mom; kept getting in to my account, without, my knowledge?? Now; that I, think; about it. I bet, that; could be, why?? Makes sense, now.

The Trouble, I Had; With Household Bank............

When I was still living at home, in the late 1980's; my mom took me, to go and set up; a Bank Account; with HOUSEHOLD BANK!!! They, did nothing, but; kept, saying; I OVER-DRAFTED; on all of my checks. And; I knew, there was something, I did not, like; about that bank. And, the money; was, in the Account. Unless, of course, (and, I just was thinking), my mom, had; something, to do with that. And; I would not, be surprised. She takes people's money, whether; it is hers, or not. Even, when; it doesn't belong, to her.

I paid off my account, did not charge things for a while, went to use my card and they closed my acc

I paid off my account, did not want to use it unless I had to. So I did not use it for four or more months. Then I went to use it, and found it was closed. When I called they said they closed it because I had not used it for a while, and if I want to use it, I would have to re-apply. First, I think this is wrong. Before they closed it they should have got hold of me to tell me this so I could have purchased something to keep it going. I paid a lot when I paid this account off, thinking when I needed it I could use it, only to find out they closed it. Also, interest rates have gone down, yet, houshold has not put there interest rate down. I was with this company for a long time(2005), then they close my account because I did not charge on it. They need to look at what is going on around them, and be glad that I did not run up my bill, and them have to chase me for it. Now I have to re-open my account, wake up people, the economy is in bad shape, be glad I am not out there running my bill up. Thank You, for nothing. Geri

It is a fact, in this economic times, that no one should pay off their credit cards unless they themselves are going to close their own account. Bank Card Corporations are directed to lower available credit (as the card is paid down) and close credit cards within 6 weeks of being paid off.

DO NOT PAY YOUR CREDIT CARD OFF !! Keep a very small balance.

I hate it too but it is the only way to survive this credit crunch.

Household Bank Unethical!!!

THE AUTO PAY that ISN'T an AUTO PAY. I have HOUSEHOLD BANK for years, I had Auto-Pay set up on my account originally for $50 and then dropped auto pay to $30 and my payment was always $29.00. Well last month they charged me $39 for membership against my account balance so then they changed my minimum to $31 but they only took out $30.00. so I got charged $25.00 late fee because I was 1$ short according to them in my auto pay. This month it is back to $29.00 per month. I called household bank to find out why they didn't take out the minimum. They said they could only go up to the $30 limit I had. I said WHAT!!!! I have auto-pay, They told me I should have gone online and checked. I said that is ridiculous, why would auto pay not be an auto-pay. if I have to go online every time then what is auto-pay for! I said why do I have to go online and check to see if they are tricking me every month. That is why I have AUTO-PAY to AUTO-PAY. Makes sense to everybody except HOUSEHOLD BANK. my other banks take out the $ amount or at least the minimum. So $1 cost me $25.00 and higher interest fees because I was late on $1.00 Way to go Congress, you really fixed the bank system if this is considered logical. IT IS UNETHICAL at very least if not downright THEFT!!!!! Robbers go to jail and these guys are robbing everybody with their little banking schemes and then ruin your credit so you can't get a loan because you were short $1.00. Then everybody else can take a shot at you, your lenders, your insurance companies and anybody else that can take a shot at you. And it is amazing why people think the lower income earners are broke and in POVERTY!!

You know, auto pay is awesome...if you check you statements....I hope you didn't expect a credit card minimum payment to stay the same, given there are 31 days in a month some months...hence you get a little more finance charge on those months..your silly if you thought it was like a fixed car payment loan...google this..." How do credit cards work"

Charge a ripoff fee of $20.00 on my card.

I received a $20.00 charge on my card because it was explained that I sent a $50.00 birthday gift card by western Union, and that's considered a cash advance. I had no idea that I would get a charge from my credit card company for sending a gift card. So it cost me $25.00 to send $50.00 (what a rip-off) She said it was explained in my agreement but it didn't state this type of transaction. HSBC refused to waive the fee even though I never had a fee waived before in all of the three years I been with them. So since HSBC won't do this as a one time favor, then i have no other choice to say good bye. I need a card i can depend on and to back me up when in need.

Household Bank Wouldn't Let Me Activate

After several years of being a loyal user of Household Bank, I finally quit as of today. This month my CC was expiring, so I was sent a new card as a replacement. As you can expect, it had to be activated before I could use it, so I called customer service to do so. Normally, all you have to do to activate the card is to follow steps given to you through a recorded message. The process is always hassle free outside of the 3-4 minutes it takes to press a million buttons. But this time around I was immediately given a live person to activate my card, who started off by browbeating me about a 30 day trial for some program to "save me money". You know the kind of "program" I'm talking about-- the type that almost always winds up being totally useless and ridiculously difficult to cancel even though you call well within the deadline. I insisted that I wasn't interested in signing up, but the customer service rep wouldn't back down. I finally said that I was in a rush and didn't have time to hear more about this program. He said that since I was in a "rush", it would be best to "sign me up right away." When I finally replied that all I wanted was my card to be activated, he told me in so many words that he would NOT be activating my card. If I wanted it activated, I could just call back when I was ready to sign up for the "free trial." Normally, I would just laugh stuff like this off, but I couldn't. It's absolutely despicable when companies start to feel as if they're in a position to basically "revoke privileges" from their customers if they don't bow down to their every whim. Well, the joke's on them, because just as they can block customers from using their services, customers can walk away from them to greener pastures. So buh bye, Household-- it's been real!
